• University of Otago Library (Central Library): holds in its rare books collection the first illustrated Paradise Lost, of 1668, which has provided the frontispiece of this website. Besides this, the collection is strong in early commentaries on that poem, and on its illustrators such as Blake and Doré, and in periodicals and reference works.
