Course Approval is available from the 9th Floor of the Richardson Building between Friday the 19th and Tuesday the 23rd of Feb. 9:00am - 5:00pm.

LLB Honours 2010 - (By Application)

Students who have completed papers at 300 and 400 level worth at least 105 points (35 points under the old system) but who have not substantially completed their LLB, may apply for admission. 

Selection is based upon grades obtained in 300 and 400 level papers, class ranking and at least B+ grades obtained in the applicant’s two best pieces of work done as part of the Research and Writing programme.

Applications will be received until the 1st of February 2010.

Applications, in the form of a letter and application form (available from the main office & below), should set out the details of the grades for your 300 and 400 level papers, together with the grades for the Research and Writing which you have completed.

Any Otago law student wishing to go on exchange must

  1. Plan for this well in advance by
    a) Reading our 'Standard information for Otago students wanting to go overseas on exchange' info. pdf
    b) Visiting the Otago Student Exchange website - http://www.otago.ac.nz/study/studentexchange/
  2. Ensure that they have completed the checklist available from the Law Reception or available to download here pdf
  3. Had their proposed course of study approved and their learning agreement signed by Stephen Smith.


Any visiting international student wishing to take law papers must seek approval from Stephen Smith prior to enrolment.
