Molecular Ecology

Molecular Ecology is about questions in ecology, evolution, behaviour and conservation that can be answered using molecular genetic techniques. Some studies use neutral markers (usually non-coding DNA) to answer questions about paternity, population structure or species relatedness. Other approaches focus specifically on functional genes and how change in their sequence and expression is related to ecology and evolution.
