Professor Ralph Adler joined the Department in 1991. He has over 25 years of university teaching experience, teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Additionally, Professor Adler has 10 years work experience as a practicing CPA in the USA.

His research interests are in performance management, strategic management accounting, organisational effectiveness, and business education. He helps lead a performance management research group and a business case study writing group, both of which operate within the School of Business.
He has authored over 50 papers, more than 20 business case studies, and written a book on management accounting. He has been a past holder of the Coopers and Lybrand Peter Barr Fellowship and the American Chamber of Commerce Business Education Fellowship.
