New Policies

16 May 2017

The Special Consideration in Student Assessment Procedures were approved by the Senate on 30 November 2016 and came into effect on 1 March 2017.

New Conflicts of Interest Guidelines were approved by the Vice-Chancellor on 27 March 2017, to sit alongside the Conflicts of Interest Policy.

Reviewed Policies

16 August 2017

Honorary Appointments - Guidelines for the Awarding of Honorary Titles has been reviewed and largely rewritten.

In the Seismic Strengthening Policy, Clause 4 Strengthening Reponses was amended and approved by VCAG on 12 December 2016.

The Intellectual Property Rights Policy was formally reviewed as per the Policy Framework, and the policy largely rewritten. 

In the Casual Staff Employment Guidelines, the adult minimum wage has been changed to $15.75 per hour. 

There have been changes to examples under the "Gifts to Employees"section in the Taxation Procedures.

In the Casual Staff Employment Guidelines, an Appendix that is no longer relevant has been removed and a link to Casper has been added. 

The Conflicts of Interest Policy was formally reviewed as per the Policy Framework, and the policy largely rewritten.

The Academic Progress Policy was was amended to limit the number of times a student may repeat a failed paper.

The Recruitment and Retention Supplements Guidelines have been removed as they are redundant.

The Identitiy Card Issuing Policy was formally reviewed as per the Policy Framework, and the policy largely rewritten. 

The Mass Student Email and Digital Screens Procedures were formally reviewed as per the Policy Framework, the title and type amended and the policy largely rewritten. 

The Oral Examination Procedure for the PhD Degree was formally reviewed as per the Policy Framework, the title and type amended and the policy largely rewritten.
