Women in Applied Science

Below are links to web sites with information concerning women in science.

• The Association for Women in Science (AWIS) has been dedicated to achieving equity and full participation for women in science, mathematics, engineering and technology for 30 years.
• The Women in Applied Science and Engineering Programme (WISE), hosted by the Arizona State University. Since 1993 WISE has been developing programs and services aimed at recruiting, retaining and graduating female engineering and applied science students.
• Thinkquest web site contains a selection of biographies of women in science including Marie Curie.
• 400 years of women in science hosts a list of over 125 women who have been involved in science over the last 400 years.
• Third world organisation of women in science, bases in Trieste, Italy, aims to promote women from the third world who are involved in science
