Social Spaces at Aquinas College
There is a real focus on the provision of living/learning environments at Aquinas. Our facilities are modern and tailor-made for students in mind.
The formal common room is a great place to relax or study and keep warm by the fire.
There is the Sky TV room if you want to watch TV. You could also have a movie night with a selection from our extensive DVD collection.
Another TV room is present in the gymnasium building where you can also do group studying, plug your laptops into the TV, or play on our X-Box.
If you prefer to study in a more traditional study space you can use one of our tutorial rooms or our computer room. We run tutorials in these rooms every weeknight to help you on your road to academic success.
Gymnasium and fitness room
If you are looking for something to do to have a break and relieve some of that exam stress you can play sport in our gymnasium or work out in the fitness room.
The dining room is an important place for meeting friends. All meals are served in the dining room. This space (and the hot chocolate machines!) is available 24 hours for people to use for study or catching up with friends.
You are responsible for doing your own laundry. The College has a number of washing machines and dryers available that are free to use – you just need to bring your own washing powder. However, Aquinas does launder your sheets every week.
No matter where you are in the College you can sit on your computer and browse the Internet or study because Aquinas has a wireless network that reaches every area of the College.
