Introduction
The WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor - now known as the "Visual Text Box Editor" - is available to staff and students using Safari/Firefox on OSX, and Firefox/Internet Explorer on the PC. However, the editor looks slightly different depending on which browser/OS combination you use.

Disabling the WYSIWYG Editor
If you prefer the "plain" text editor and would like to disable the WYSIWYG Editor, please follow these instructions:
- Click on the Tools button in any course menu, then click "Personal Information"
OR
Click on the "Personal Information" link in the Tools box on the "Otago University" tab of Blackboard - Click "Set Visual Text Box Editor Options"
- Click the radio-button beside "Unavailable", and then click "Submit".
