‪The Centre's Chris Rosin recently took part in a discussion for Radio NZ show The Panel, responding to a report on research comparing the social character of rice farmers and wheat farmers in China.

The argument of the research was that rice requires more coordinated labour and therefore results in more communal (compared to individualist) social relations.

Chris was asked to reflect on the implications based on research with kiwifruit, sheep and dairy farmers in New Zealand, drawing on ARGOS research.
