Dr Janet Stephenson, Director of the Centre, recently presented at Fridtjof Nansen Institute, Norway on locally governed and community-based fisheries and marine management systems. Dr Stephenson addressed the question, is local and small-scale resource management necessarily better than large-scale, market-based policy instruments, when she recently held a presentation at FNI .
