Where and when do you advertise internships / bursaries?

Internships or bursaries are usually available through the Centre over the summer period November-February. These internships are available to students who are planning to start or continue study at the University of Otago.

Summer internships and bursaries will be advertised in the News section of our website - usually in September. Summer internships or bursaries are usually awarded for a period of 10 weeks at a rate of $5,000.

Who is eligible to apply?

To apply you will need to be a current student at a university or a student intending to undertake further study at Otago.

Do you host international interns?

Yes. We regularly host international interns who are required to do an overseas internship as part of their study at their home University. We are not able to fund these positions but can usually offer desk space, internet access and printing. We receive a number of applications which we consider throughout each year. Please apply as early as possible if you would like to intern at the Centre.
