40th Anniversary at the University of Otago, Christchurch
In 1973, the first intake of Fourth Year medical students enrolled at Otago University, Christchurch (then the Christchurch School of Medicine).
The 40th Anniversary celebrations will be held on 20-22 February 2013. This is later than initially planned as the University's major building would not have been ready for use.
On Thursday 6th September 2012 the University will still hold the Alumni Reception in Christchurch. This Alumni event will start events rolling towards the 40th celebrations in February 2013.
The celebrations will also be an acknowledgement of the impact of Canterbury earthquakes on staff and students, and recognising our bright future.
