The library training sessions below can be delivered to groups or individuals by arrangement.  While the library's training room is not currently available library staff can discuss the options with you.

Finding information for mental health research This session is suitable for those who need to find mental health information.  The session looks at OvidSP PsycINFO and OvidSP MEDLINE and covers the effective use of the thesaurus of MeSH terms, explode, focus, truncation and basic limits. 60 mins
Making the most of CINAHL Effective use of the CINAHL Headings thesaurus, saving searches, autoalerts, explode, focus, truncation.  This course is suitable for those who are already using CINAHL. 30 min
Making the most of the online journals Linking to full text from CINAHL & OvidSP MEDLINE / Journal alerts/ Printing & downloading PDFs 30 mins
Online journals - for beginners Finding and linking to full text articles from a variety of sources.  Help with downloading or printing articles. 30 mins

Who said that?  Citing sources in your written work An introduction to referencing.  Focusing on the APA style, this session covers when and how to reference and looks at the essential components when citing different types of publication. 30 mins
