The Univeristy of Otago, Christchurch has benefited from our stakeholders' investment in the previous UOC Summer Studentship Programme, which ran successfully for over 20 years.

Stakeholder investment has supported an ongoing commitment to grow our future health research workforce in Aotearoa New Zealand. We actively invite our stakeholders to consider investing as sponsors in this new UOC Future Health Researcher Programme.

This would include the following:

  • Working alongside the UOC Development and Alumni Relations Office representative to determine whether you would like to invest in the 'general' programme or have your funds directed to a specific area of health research and/or department.
  • An expectation that you will receive a formal report based on your investment in the programme.
  • An expectation that you will receive a video (or other medium) that can be utilised by your organisation to promote your philantrhopic giving the UOC Future Health Researcher Programme and/or the health research area they worked within.
  • That you would be formally acknowledged by UOC as a stakeholder and sponsor, and that appropriate invitations to future events would be expected.
