Eligibility
The applicant will:
- Have registration as a nurse from a three year programme or course, congruent with the HPCA Act 2003
- Hold a current Practising Certificate.
Content
This paper provides a pathway for registered nurses specialising in rural nursing. The aim of this paper is to enable students to develop advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills to facilitate practice in the rural setting. The course content focuses on exploring the concept of rural nursing and emphasises the application of skills in the clinical setting.
Teaching Arrangements
This paper can be undertaken either online, face to face or a combination of both methods. Students have the option of choosing the methods which best suits their learning style and circumstances. All lectures are recorded and available online via the University’s e-learning site Blackboard within one working day of the finish of each study block. Further guidance will be provided to students prior to the commencement of this paper.
