Otago Summer School 2013 in Wellington
Please carry your ID Card with you at all times when you are on Wellington Girls’ College premises or visiting the University’s Wellington City Office.
Your course materials
There is no prescribed textbook for either LAWS 471 or LAWS 487. All course readings for both papers will be uploaded on to Blackboard. All course materials are provided free of charge.
LAWS 471 International Trade Regulation: Materials will be available at your first class, which is on Tuesday 15 January 2013
LAWS 487 Tax Treaties: Materials will be available at your first class, which is on Saturday 12 January 2013
Locations
Lectures for both LAWS 471 and LAWS 487will be held in Wellington Girls’ College Classrooms P1A and B, Pipitea Block on the first floor. The Pipitea Block is an easy walk up Mulgrave Street from the Railway Station and Bus turnaround area. Mulgrave Street runs into Murphy Street at the Pipitea Street intersection (the one before Thorndon New World Supermarket). If you are coming by car off the motorway take the Murphy Street off ramp.
University of Otago Wellington City Office
The University’s Wellington City Office is located on Level 9, Revera House, 48 Mulgrave Street. (This is between the Old St Paul’s and the Pipitea Street intersection)
Public car parking
Some limited off-street car parking is available in Pipitea Street and in the grounds of Wellington Girls College.
There is also a Wilson’s Pay and Display car park opposite the Thorndon New World in Murphy Street. This is patrolled and so you will need to feed the meter if you use this.
Refreshments
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in a kitchenette adjoining the teaching rooms. This is a generous offer by the management of Wellington Girls College so please leave the area clean and tidy. There are also cafés and coffee kiosks close by in the Thorndon New World Supermarket or in Molesworth Street and further down Murphy and Mulgrave Streets.
