Established by the University of Otago in 2007, the Centre for Research on National Identity (CRNI) comprises a number of multidisciplinary teams conducting research on issues of importance to cultural identity in the contemporary world, and provides a context and resource for visiting scholars and postgraduate students. It has strong collaborative links with a number of research centres and research teams overseas.
