Contributors to Dental Care for Children under General Anaesthesia

This course will cover:

  • Assessment and planning successful treatment that can be delivered with time constraints
  • Research evidence for restorative choices that will give the best long-term outcomes
  • Communication requirements for anaesthetists, nursing staff, and administrative staff
  • Preventive approaches to decrease the future risks

Participants will be involved in:

  • Managing a simulated case with a range of restorative materials and procedures
  • Live videoconferencing of an MSS list with Dr Tim Mackay in Oamaru
  • Observation of a list in the Faculty of Dentistry
