Inclusive Teaching Practices: Vision Impairment and Blindness
The effects of Visual Impairments are far ranging. Some people experience blurred or distorted vision, while others suffer greatly because of glare. For some, vision may be improved by corrective lenses, while individuals with low vision may rely on residual vision with the use of adaptive equipment. Others rely on braille, audio tape, or ascii files in conjunction with a laptop computer fitted with a text reader and an audio speech programme.
