Hosted by the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, The University of Otago warmly welcomes Dr Marshall Chin as the William Evans Visiting Fellow 2017.
Marshall H. Chin, MD, MPH, is the Richard Parrillo Family Professor of Healthcare Ethics at the University of Chicago, an expert in health equity, general internist and health services researcher with deep experience in improving the care of vulnerable patients with diabetes and other chronic diseases through the health care system and community interventions. Dr. Chin is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship training in general internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
During his visiting fellowship, Dr. Chin will meet with Ministry of Health staff in Wellington to discuss efforts of New Zealand and the United States to achieve health equity, and give numerous talks on health care reform and equity at the University of Otago (including Wellington and Christchurch campuses).
