Graduate Diploma in Teaching (GradDipTchg) in Primary Education
Overview
This is an intensive one-year teaching qualification for graduates who want to share their knowledge and passion for learning with primary and intermediate school students. On completion of this programme you will be qualified to teach in primary and intermediate schools throughout New Zealand and overseas. The programme is available only at the Dunedin Campus.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have:
- An accredited degree or G3 qualification, the content of which must include subject areas pertinent to the primary school curriculum.
- Completed courses which cover the content of two of the following papers:
EDUC 101 Social Foundations of Education
EDUC 102 Human Development
EDUC 252 How People Learn
The third Education paper muct be completed prior to College graduation and can be studied concurrently,
