Graduate Diploma in Teaching - Primary Education

One-year programme (full-time option only)

This is an intensive one-year teaching qualification for graduates who want to share their knowledge and passion for learning with primary and intermediate school students.
On completion of this programme you will be qualified to teach in primary and intermediate schools throughout New Zealand and overseas. This programme is suited to those who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree (Level 7) from any tertiary provider within New Zealand. Please note, there is no part-time option available for this programme. Students wishing to undertake this diploma would also need to ensure that they undertake the prerequisite course, EDTX132 – An Introduction to Human Development, or an equivalent paper.

- ELECTIVE PAPER (Subject Study *)
* selected from EDSU 106 Te Whiringa o Te Reo or MAOR 110 Introduction to Conversational Māori, or equivalent paper
