As an accredited facilitator

I have supported teachers and literacy leaders with professional development sessions in subject-specific literacy, English, Pathways/Careers and SCTs through workshops and clusters in response to identified needs.

My experience includes

Secondary Literacy Facilitator: Working with cross-curricular teams to integrate literacy practices in all learning areas through the use of data and research to improve student learning.
English Facilitator: Building strong understandings of practices in English linked to NZC; helping teachers to review current programmes and design relevant programmes of learning which will create a range of pathways for diverse groups of learners.
Pathways/ Careers Facilitator: Modelling effective pedagogy practices linked to NZC; building understanding of tools to support students in choosing vocational pathways; and working collaboratively to meet the needs of all learners.
Specialist Classroom Teachers: Supporting teachers to use reflective practices and inquiry skills to help other teachers; and strengthening their coaching and mentoring skills.
