As an accredited facilitator

I have effectively supported individual teachers, school staff, clusters and school leaders in professional learning and development for over 10 years. Delivery approaches used are culturally responsive and informed by participants' needs and readiness to be challenged to engage with new learning.

I encourage teachers to use cycles of Teaching as Inquiry to reflect on their practice and enhance their students' learning and achievement based on analysis of a range of evidence.

My experience includes

  • Science facilitator for Primary and Secondary teachers including support in formative assessment, NCEA , scientific literacy; using science contexts to integrate learning in reading, writing and mathematics while engaging in Teaching as Inquiry.
  • NZ Curriculum facilitator supporting schools to reflect on the effectiveness of their NZC implementation; addressing learner needs through programme design including development of key competencies, values, principles and vision.
  • Assess to Learn facilitator supporting the building of formative assessment capability across schools by encouraging use of critical reflection to identify next steps for teaching and learning to enhance student achievement.
  • Online PLD delivery using digital media both synchronously and asynchronously.
