The Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary Education) is a teaching qualification for graduates who want to share their knowledge and passion for learning with secondary school students.  The programme will build on the subject knowledge you, as a graduate, have acquired in your initial degree studies.

The programme is designed to develop understanding, skills and values which will allow you to implement innovative, effective teaching practices in New Zealand secondary schools.  It will equip you with the experiences, skills and knowledge in secondary education required for provisional teacher registration.  On completion of the programme, you will be qualified to teach in secondary schools throughout New Zealand and in many overseas countries.
