Limited to: MAppSc, MSc
All academic staff can be involved as thesis and research advisors.
This research project and thesis is the key component of the Masters thesis preparation year. Students choose a research project at the start of the year and regularly meet with their thesis advisor throughout the year to discuss ideas and results. At the end of the year students write a dissertation based on a literature review of the field, and the results they have gained through the year. The dissertation is worth 60% of the final grade, with the remainder based on research seminars and laboratory performance.
This course is intended for masters students, undertaking the coursework year.
