Annette FeaAnnette Fea

Annette Fea is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Queenstown. She has 25 years’ experience and has previously worked for the Southern District Health Board and as a Consultant to the Department of Justice, Family Court, New Zealand Police, Fire and Ambulance Services and CYFS. Currently she receives most referrals from General Practitioners throughout Central Otago and Southland, New Zealand Police and community agencies. Clients range in age from mid-childhood to adult. In addition, Annette provides professional supervision to other clinical psychologists, high school counsellors and high school principals and enjoys involvement in community education programmes, promoting an understanding of a wide range of mental health issues.

Annette’s special areas of interest include the psychological consequences of exposure to trauma, the mental health side-effects of certain prescription medicines, the genetic contribution to mental health disorders and the interplay of genetic variants and medication side-effects, which together affect brain function.
