New 3-year grant of Seismic Micro-Technology KINGDOM software
Seismic Micro Technology Inc. of Houston, U.S.A. have recently agreed to make their state-of-the-art KINGDOM 8.4 software package available for teaching and research in the Department of Geology for the next three years, until September 2012.
Seismic Micro Technology Inc. supports education and research with software donations to many Universities, and KINGDOM is one of the most widely used software package in geoscience research centres and in oil exploration industry around the world. The KINGDOM software licence for 20 computers for three years comes free of maintenance fees, and is valued by Seismic Micro Technology at U.S. $3.7 million.
The software is available for analysis and interpretation of seismic data in the Structural Geology Laboratory (SGL).
