Seminar | The Future of the Bicycle
Also available to view live via the internet. See details below.
The bicycle is a simple device with enormous potential. No doubt greater use of the bike in place of motor vehicles would achieve benefits for health and the environment. More cycling would also enable cities to function better, but making good this potential is a slow business. What stands in the way? In this seminar, Alistair will report on research that seeks to understand obstacles and enablers.
Alistair Woodward is Head of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Auckland. His research and teaching are concerned mostly with the links between physical environments and health.
