Tertiary Information Day
Students can also speak with History, Art History and Theory, and Visual Culture staff by attending the University's Tertiary Information Day.
History, Art History, and Visual Culture staff will be available to discuss options with you at our scheduled drop-in session, which is held in our seminar room on the second floor of the Arts Building at 95 Albany Street.
Scholarship for Year 13 Otago and Southland Students
The John Turnbull Thomson Scholarship in History was established in 2005 by the University Council with funds received from the descendants of John Turnbull Thomson, a surveyor and explorer who became New Zealand's first Surveyor General in 1876.
Applicants must be:
- At the time of application, in the final year of his or her secondary schooling at a school in Otago or Southland or have completed the final year no more than one year previously
- Enrolled for at least one 100-level paper in History for the degree of Bachelor of Arts in their first year
Awards are made on the basis of the student's Year 13 academic results.
