Warm Pacific Greetings. My name is Esmay Eteuati and I am the Pacific Islands Students' Support Officer in the Humanities Division.
I am of Samoan descent, born in Wellington and raised in Dunedin. I have a Diploma in Primary Teaching, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Indigenous Studies from the University of Otago. I have lived and taught in Samoa for 14 years. Proud of my heritage and a strong advocate for supporting/encouraging all students from all the Pacific Island nations, I am here to work with you and assist you where possible.
As the support person for all Pacific students enrolled in Humanities papers and degrees, I help to:
- Liaise with academic departments and support services with respect to any issues relating to you and your course of study
- Facilitate access to pastoral care, student services, course planning advice within the university.
