Esmay Eteuati

Warm Pacific Greetings. My name is Esmay Eteuati and I am the Pacific Islands Students' Support Officer in the Humanities Division.

I am of Samoan descent, born in Wellington and raised in Dunedin. I have a Diploma in Primary Teaching, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Indigenous Studies from the University of Otago. I have lived and taught in Samoa for 14 years. Proud of my heritage and a strong advocate for supporting/encouraging all students from all the Pacific Island nations, I am here to work with you and assist you where possible.

As the support person for all Pacific students enrolled in Humanities papers and degrees, I help to:
- Liaise with academic departments and support services with respect to any issues relating to you and your course of study
- Facilitate access to pastoral care, student services, course planning advice within the university.

Please feel free to contact me if you have a question, a comment or a concern.

Confidentiality and action with any problems or queries are guaranteed. Give me a call or email me. I am here to help you. If I am unable to help you, I will connect you with someone who can.
