Research Cluster for Natural Resources Law

About the Research

The Research Cluster for Natural Resources Law comprises individual, disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborative projects on the law, policy and practice relating to natural resources and the environment within Aotearoa New Zealand. These projects are grouped around the common goal of amplifying Otago’s voice on the national and international stage to influence policy formation and development of law. This translational research is specifically focused on exploring issues relating to: climate change, energy, water, fisheries, marine mammals, the conservation estate, flora and fauna, minerals, and the built environment. The research aspires to have real value for government, nga iwi Mäori and local communities.
