Training

Professional development, education and ongoing training are central to the University of Otago work experience for all its employees. We have a comprehensive range of training and development programmes offered through Human Resources. Many of these courses also fit into PDR competency groups.

We also have some courses available through tailored training sessions as these are most effective when conducted with groups of people who regularly work together.

Women's Professional Development Programme

At Otago there is a range of activities that cater for the needs of women (both general and academic). The programme is run jointly between Human Resources (main contact is Suzy Keene) and HEDC (main contact is
Rachel Spronken-Smith).

The training programme runs in both semesters but other times can be arranged if there is demand. Similarly, if a course is over-subscribed then we will try to run a repeat session.
