Conference venue
All conference sessions will take place in the College of Education at the University of Otago, 155 Union Street East, Dunedin, New Zealand. You can download a campus map here. The College of Education is the F area to the top right of page 2. You can also find details of the location on Google Maps. This shows 145 Union Street but is very close to 155 Union Street.
The conference is scheduled to begin at 6pm on Wednesday 7 November 2012 and end at 3.00pm on Saturday 10 November 2012.
Conference events
Several evening social events are being planned to coincide with the conference. These include a wine reception following the opening keynote lecture, an evening debate on 'An Irish identity is better than a Scottish identity' followed by a wine reception, and a conference dinner.
The conference dinner is being held on Friday 9 November 2012 at Quality Hotel Cargill's, 678 George Street, Dunedin, and comprises a 3-course set menu including tea and coffee. A choice of main is available: pork, salmon, chicken, ribeye, and filo parcels (and all are accompanied by steamed vegetables and gourmet potatoes). The meal will be preceded by a piper and haggis ceremony. A cash bar is in operation and Twilight drinks (similar to a Happy Hour) operates from 5.30pm-7pm.
