Welcome to 2012 ISMSC-7 website
It is with great pleasure that we extend an invitation to you to join us in Dunedin, in our summer, for the 2012 International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry, ISMSC-7.
We have an impressive list of invited speakers lined up and are confident that attendees will find their trip to the far south, "downunder", both valuable and rewarding.
The conference is hosted by the University of Otago in the world class St David Street Lecture Theatre Complex. This modern Oamaru stone complex is ideally suited to host both the lectures and the poster sessions, while also providing opportunities to meet colleagues in congenial and comfortable surroundings.
The University of Otago, New Zealand’s first University, has an international reputation for research excellence. It is New Zealand's most research intensive university and the top-ranked university for research quality (2006 PBRF, the New Zealand Government’s formal tertiary institution research performance assessment).
Dunedin is renowned for its spectacular beauty and is also a gateway to the beautiful scenery of Central Otago and the Catlins. Majestic Victorian and Edwardian architecture, a proximity to an abundance of wildlife and a healthy youth culture make for an exciting and fascinating visit. We can promise you a lively and invigorating scientific program so why not come and join us!

P.S - Our conference logo was kindly designed by Michael Crawford (Dunedin) based on an idea provided by Sally Brooker. It depicts the North, South and Stewart Islands of New Zealand threaded through the O of Otago University, much like an axle is threaded through a macrocycle in the stepwise preparation of a rotaxane. The University of Otago is in the city of Dunedin, which is identified with a dot on the South Island from which the sun is shining.
