Information Security

The Information Security Team

The Information Security team provides information and expertise on Information Security matters. This can range from advice on dealing with a spam email through to investigating and analysing serious incidents. The team consists of four staff who have a broad knowledge of IT systems and processes as well as excellent knowledge of the University.

Information Security at the University of Otago is managed within an Information Security Framework. Key areas in this Framework include incident investigation and management, spam and malware management, policy development, raising awareness of Information Security issues, and Information risk assessment and audits.

We take a keen interest in new trends and technologies and how these impact on Information Security.
