Sophos Website Down for Maintainance

The University Sophos site, http://sophos.otago.ac.nz is down for maintainance and should be up again by noon today (10/2/2010).

Existing installations of Sophos will continue to update successfully.

Users who have pending installations will be unable to download the installer from the site during this period and will need to re-register once the site returns to operation.

ITS Services Disruption – UOC, University Network, 72 Oxford Terrace

Time Frame: 6:00pm to 6:30pm, Wednesday 10 February 2010

During the given time frame there will be a short (five minute) network disruption affecting network outlets with the “XD” prefix at 72 Oxford Terrace on the Christchurch Campus. No other sites or locations are expected to be affected by this work.

This disruption will affect all network access from 72 Oxford Terrace to services located within the central UOC School of Medicine and Health Sciences Building, as well as access to sites and services located on the wider University network, and the Internet / KAREN.

This disruption is necessary to implement configuration changes in the network equipment at 72 Oxford Terrace, which will allow for the deployment of University wireless network services at this site.
