Lynda.com Online Training Pilot
Pilot
On 3 October 2011, IT Training launched a 12 month pilot of the Lynda.com online training resource.
You can join the pilot, getting free access for a calendar month, (beginning on the first work day) in return for providing feedback about it.
Visit the Lynda.com website - a few free tutorials are already available for all courses.
Lynda.com contains a vast collection of online training resources, in subjects ranging from Photography to Time Management, and specific software packages from AutoCAD to XCode.
Microsoft Office and Adobe applications are included. Using Lynda.com you can either work through a full lesson plan, or concentrate on specific topics that are useful to you. Most courses have downloadable exercise files. Keep in mind that you still must have the software in order to use the exercise files. (For example, you cannot use the Adobe products without a licence for them.)
Staff access
100 staff licences will be available for one calendar month. Staff have 24/7 access from any computer.
Register your interest in participating.
Student access
10 kiosk computers are available across all campuses.
