    Students who successfully complete this paper will:

    1. Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental concepts and principles of culture, including the role of myths and legends in the development of cultural identity
    2. Generate insights into social, cultural and historical dimensions of cultural and subcultural groups within the Hispanic world
    3. Express self-awareness through critical reflections on the influence of myths and legends within your own culture
    4. Demonstrate an ability to acquire, organise, analyse and evaluate information, taking into consideration the principles of academic integrity
    5. Demonstrate an ability to critically analyse a broad range of cultural phenomenon through research, writing and small group discussion
