The Human Genome Research Project is led by the Law Faculty at the University of Otago with funds given by the New Zealand Law Foundation.  The project involves the Bioethics Centre and is supported by a team of New Zealand and international researchers in Law, Bioethics, Science, Maori, and Paediatrics.  The aim of the project is to set out options and choices for New Zealand in response to opportunities and challenges that have arisen since the completion of the human genome mapping project.
