Visitors
Prof Gostin visited the Law Faculty, Bioethics Centre, and Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, and delivered a public lecture ‘Law and Ethics for the Public’s Health: National and International Dimensions’. In addition, Prof Gostin provided information about the October 2004 initiative of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office of Genomics and Disease Prevention (CDC), and US Institute of Medicine (IOM) in convening the Committee on Genomics and the Public’s Health in the 21st Century, for which he chaired. Assoc Prof Lemmens visited the Law Faculty and Bioethics Centre, delivered a number of presentations, and spent time discussing current issues in genetics and other health-related matters with the project team.
