Research topic: Policy and process in employment and family relationship disputes

The purpose of my thesis is to assess whether the difference in the dispute resolution structures of the employment and family law jurisdictions is reflected in different cost and disposition rates of the disputes those jurisdictions receive, and if so, why.

Research topic: Litigants in Person in the New Zealand Civil Courts

An empirical and theoretical examination of the place of litigants in person in New Zealand's civil courts including the Family Court. The analysis will include examination of the number and profile of litigants in person in the courts currently and explore questions such as the future role of litigants in person and the future direction of our civil courts.
