Mining in the Conservation Estate Panel Discussion

The University of Otago Research  Cluster for Natural Resources Law hosted the Mining in the Conservation Estate Panel Discussion on Friday 30th April at the University of Otago, Dunedin.

Panel members included:

Professor Dave Craw, Department of Geology
Dr Andrew Gorman, Department of Geology
Dr Viktoria Kahui, Department of Economics
Dr Mick Strack, Department of Surveying

The rationale for hosting the panel discussion was to encourage and stimulate respectful and informed debate in the lead up to the due date for the public submissions on the Maximising our Mineral Potential: Stocktake of Schedule 4 of the Crown Minerals Act and Beyond Discussion Paper.  That due date has now been extended to 26th May 2010.
