Anita Gibbs
Anita Gibbs worked in the UK as a probation officer and social worker prior to completing her doctorate in social work at the University of Bristol in 1996. From 1997-99 Anita worked as a researcher at the Centre for Criminological Research at Oxford University and in 1999 emigrated to New Zealand, taking up her current position as a senior lecturer in social work. In addition to her work on the CTO study, Anita’s research interests include alternatives to custody, probation values, supervised access centres, Home Detention, and social work research methods.
