Webber collected promotional brochures issued by railway organisations world-wide. In almost all there is a strong emphasis on safety (railroads are dangerous places) and courtesy. In this Rhodesian Rail promotion ‘Let’s be Frank’ brochure the railway employee is told (along with other advice): ‘Don’t treat prospective passengers as if they don’t matter’ and ‘Don’t smoke while dealing with a member of the public.’ With passengers paying good money for travel, they are reminded: ‘Courtesy cost nothing’. Below, is a concertina promotional leaflet, promoting the services of the Association of American Railroads.
