Vitrine: Trains Album of Railroad Photographs

Trains Album of Railroad Photographs.

In 1933, Albert Carpenter Kalmach mixed his passion for publishing and trains by starting Kalmach Publishing (Wisconsin), a publishing enterprise that continues today, and which, in 2009, celebrated its 75 years of service. Kalmach publishes about 35 books per year and issues 15 magazines, including Model Railroader (first issue, January 1934), and Trains. In 2008, the company generated more than $50 million in sales for the sixth year in a row. One other very successful publication was Trains Album of Railroad Photographs, a series that ran from 1943 to 1950. Naturally Webber subscribed to it. Here is a selection from that series.
