Jane Mander, The Story of a New Zealand River.

Jane Mander (1874-1942) submitted her novel to John Lane in 1917 and it was finally published in 1920 as The Story of a New Zealand River. This is the first edition, with cover design by the American illustrator William Van Dresser (1871-1950). Dresser also illustrated works by Jack London.
