Hunter was not the only anatomist to raise the ire of Monro Secundus. This manuscript is part of a lecture series on the lymphatic system during the years 1798 to 1799, where Secundus felt compelled to remind Dr Meckel (the illustrious anatomist from Berlin) that his knowledge was not his own original research, but that learned from Secundus.
