The archives of many Australian pulp writers have been lost, with only a handful extant like G. C. Bleeck’s collection at the National Library of Australia. While noting that many Western pseudonyms are West-related – Colt Denby (Bleeck) and Wilton West – they are still hard to assign to real people, even though there is a growing number of pulp resources on-line.

Pulp publisher files have also been lost, and it is increasingly difficult to establish full histories of their total output. One allied issue here is the lack of dating, like those on display, which have been assigned ‘circa 1950?’ Art styles, colour reproduction techniques, and pricing can help in ascertaining a year or period.
