Borderline

Borderline

Since Landfall 211, there has been a series of guest editors, often producing themed issues. The Landfall Essay Competition was established in 1997 to celebrate Landfall's 50th birthday, and in 2008 a bequest enabled the prestigious Kathleen Grattan Award for a collection of poetry to be set up. The winners of these competitions were announced in Landfall 216 in November 2008. Although there are now colour pages in Landfall, and the format has changed slightly, the on-going principles established by Brasch remain. Landfall 211, with the theme of 'borderline' and edited by Tze Ming Mok, was the first to carry the Press's new name: Otago University Press.

'Borderline', Landfall 211 (April 2006); 'The Capital of Nowhere', Landfall 212 (November 2006); 'Waiting for Godzone', Landfall 215 (May 2008).
